A Return Visit to Catholic Charities Seniors’ Mobile Meeting
In my capacity and role as the Contributing and Main Editor for much of the social platform content for the Dundee Public Library. On Thursday afternoon, I took it upon myself to visit the local Community Center where Catholic Charities Mobile Seniors’ Service held their weekly meetings for Seniors within our community . The coordinator for the event , Marie Rich whom I’ve come to know well in a very short time was gracious enough me along to attend their meeting.

At this morning’s (Thursday) event there was a guest presenter who was an insurance salesman for one of the state’s top health insurance providers. He had the opportunity to educate the Seniors on some of their most basic needs when it came to health insurance as well as helping them to navigate to the obstacles posed by federal government’s benefits. I have to say that I was very impressed with how easy he made for the Seniors to understand without getting into the legal jargon often associated with this issue. From a personal standpoint, I could see that my uncle , Headley Gordon was relieved by this all.

This program by Catholic Charities has been existence for almost a year here in the town of Dundee and has been operational county-wide within Polk County (Florida) for a number of years. It has become highly popular among the Seniors within the county and most certainly among the local residents here in Dundee.
