Another Wednesday (8th July) and another event planned as part of the Dundee Public Library’s Summer Reading Program scheduled planned in conjunction with Friends of The Library Dundee Inc. Providing the morning’s entertainment was Miz Daisy of Miz Daisy’s Entertainment . With several children coming along, accompanied by a parent or guardian. There were also youngsters from Stay and Play Center , a childcare facility based in Dundee, Florida and a long -time participant in a number of our activities geared towards the children within the community. Also, there were children from Little Land Early Learning Center, also residing in the Town of Dundee.

For many of the children, this was a wonderful morning to have some fun, with Miz Daisy providing the entertainment, emphasizing the fun of reading and also making use of their local library.

A number of the children were also participants in the show by Miz Daisy and with the theme of the morning being about heroes and superheroes. Yet everyday heroes such as firefighters, policemen, first responders as and the members of our Armed Forces.

Also on hand, were local Polk County resources, Books Bridge (Book Mobile) and a Summer Meal’s program provided by Summer Meals Florida Organization.

Our next event is scheduled for Wednesday 15th July and will deal with Water Safety. It will once again be held at the Dundee Community Center and will require preregistration for any child wishing to attend. Simply call the Dundee Public Library specifying the relevant information required by the staff member in order to have your child or children registered to attend the event.
