(1) Councilman Bert A Goddard and his wife , Elaine Goddard , who also happens to be the Lakeland Chapter President for Hearing Loss Association of America . A devoted volunteer to cause dear to heart , Mrs Goddard has worked vigorously to raise the issue of the hearing impaired within the community. A joint effort will be undertaken between the HLA and FOL (Friends of The Library) to raise the awareness of this issue within our community in the near future based scheduling priorities.
