Annual Christmas Party co-hosted by Friends of The Library Dundee Inc & Dundee Public Library for the children within the community
In the run-up to Christmas, the Dundee Public Library and Friends of The Library Dundee Inc, staff and volunteers prepared the venue for their Annual Christmas Holiday Party. The rush to have things prepared for the influx of children attending Wednesday’s event (16th December, 2015), began with Library Superintendent Julie Feagle and Friends of The Library President Rukhsana Harper leading the staff in the decorating the Dundee Library for our throng of attendees, due on Wednesday morning. Our expected attendance covering the the days on which the library will host the children , would be approximately two-hundred children in attendance.

Wednesday and Thursday (three sessions) , the Dundee Library would host the children, scheduled beginning at 9:00 am for the first of the two stagings for the children to be entertained and presented with gifts as well as meeting Santa & Mrs Claus. The second of the two staged events took place at 10:00 am. As part of the mornings’ event , the children will be allowed to create their own Christmas themed coloring pages, as well as having their pictures taken with Santa and his wife.
Throughout the year , Friends of The Library through their fundraising efforts were able to raise a substantial sum , which has gone to providing the funding of several of the activities and programs staged during the year and for the staging of our Annual Christmas Holiday Party. Without the patronage of our many donors, private as well as corporate and the ongoing support of the community at large and the cooperation of the Town of Dundee , for many of the initiatives seen, would not have taken place.
