Resumption of the Dundee Public Library after-school program

 

The Dundee Public Library has resumed its after-school program incorporating the kids’ introduction to the entertaining card games of Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon. This activity coordinated by the Library in conjunction with local game card trading and entertainment store Carl’s Gamestation based in the Town of Dundee, Florida. The program which takes place twice weekly, on Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 3.30 pm until 5:00 pm is conducted under the watchful eye of an employee from Carl’s Gamestation who provides the children with the instructions on how to play these games as well as giving them a unique insight in many of the strategies associated with playing competitively.

Since the inception of this program, which has been a significant success, with the cooperating parties being pleased with each turnout. Dundee Library Superintendent Julie Feagle is hoping to see significant growth with the initiative, which also has the blessing of the Town of Dundee’s commission members as well as Town Manager Ryan Taylor .

The visibility provided with this program raises the profile of Carl’s Gamestation within the local community while also doing the same for the Dundee Public Library. Beyond this initiative also providing another outlet for the children’s creativity and a chance to make new friends , it also provides a chance for them also to interact with their peers , while also enjoying themselves for ninety minutes of fun-loving excitement and game playing with an instructor.
