LTSA Grant approved and we’re up and running …

Recently the Auburndale Public Library and Dundee Public Library were lucky enough to be the recipients eight I-Pads each , which came courtesy of a grant provided by Florida Dept of State, Division of Library and Information Services. The grant was based on a need to facilitate a much-needed resource for each of the libraries in question. An application through the LSTA , under Project Name : I-Learn with I-Pads in the lI-brary was a welcome need for both municipalities and the respective libraries in question.

Auburndale and the Dundee Public Library will have their I-Pads fully available for the children within their respective communities as a useful resource and learning tool.

Without the grant application having been made by the Polk County Library Cooperative (PCLC) , the libraries would not have been in a position to make this latest service available within our community.

The staff of the Dundee Public Library will be on hand to offer their assistance to the children making use of our I-Pads and as part of this introduction , we shall also be offering a basic introductory course in using the devices. For more information on this latest service being offered, simply call us here at the number listed below.
